Can't Decide What to Buy

Hi...I have an 02 WRX Wagon...I just got the motor finished being built...and now its time to start on the suspension...I was wondering if you guys could suggest some upgrades...I am planning on running at least lowering springs and upgraded struts with new endlinks but im not sure which ones and I am looking for some suggestions...and I was also wondering if a 225/45/17 is too big of a tire

Look into some sway bars with some upgraded endlinks. I think whiteline makes several applications for the wagon that are very nice. Dont forget about an alignment after said work is done also. Some people forget that.

+1 Aftermarket sway bars and endlinks make a huge improvement.

+1 Definitely get an alignment if you lower the car.

Lowering springs and aftermarket struts are a great way to go.

In response to the tire question, please allow me to direct you here: Wheel / Tire FAQ

To answer your tire question, we need a little more information. What size wheels are you planning to mount them on? A 225 wide tire is just about the upper limit for a 17x7.0 wheel. A more suitable wheel for that size tire would be a 17x7.5 or 17x8.0 inch wide wheel. Whether or not they will work also depends on how much you are planning to lower your car.

In that case, that tire size should work out just fine

Good luck with the spring/strut combo. Maybe somebody else can chime in and offer some expert advice on that one.
