It's best to put new brake pads against a smooth rotor surface, and rotors can only be turned once.

Decent quality rotor blanks are inexpensive and therefore it makes sense to replace the rotors at the same time if they are grooved, for best results.

It cost me $100 a corner to change both pads and discs with StopTech items when I first bought the Rex.

Yep, that's what I'm doing is new rotors and pads next time. Stoptech also makes great stuff.

I like my EBC Red Stuff Pads. Will probably go with them again when mine finally wear. I actually have double slotted rotors from AdamsRotors.com. They have been amazing and no issues.

Cool, I thought I was the only one rolling on EBC Red Stuff.

Sorry to reply to this so late but the hyper-sensitive ABS was due to the ABS being calibrated from the factory wrong. I got a TSB about this a long time ago. I took it to the shop with the TSB in hand and they re calibrated the ABS for free. I haven't had a problem since. Check out post #7 on this link ABS ECU recalibration

All right, where is the distributor cap? I need to find the #1 plug wire to hook up my SUN machine.

I can believe that. Though that car was totaled in 2003 (unrelated to ABS) and my current one has never had the problem.

Good input in this thread.

Since I noticed that a few people mentioned blank rotors, I figured that I would let you guys know that we can order them for you if you like. We have access to the full Centric/Stoptech/Powerslot catalog so all the slotted and blank options are available (Including the CRYO treated ones!).

Just LMK if you guys want anything specific and I'll be happy to help.
