brake dust

i have a horrible brake dust problem.
after washing my car and scrubbing the rims with a toothbrush (no fun haha) i drive for about a week and my rims are about black instead of the awesome gold.
would getting newer brake pads help with the dust or is there some good stuff to treat the rims that helps prevent it?

Get them cleaned and then wax them. I use American Racing Wheel Wax and it works great. The dust wipes right off with a damp towel.

I got the Cobb Cryo treated rotors and their street formula pads and i have the same problem, i have only put about 1000 miles on them so far is that why because they are new?

I have used... Oven cleaner from walmart. I spray it on, let it sit for about 5 minutes then power wash it off, they clean like a charm.

That's VERY bad for your paint.

I have the Hawk's now. They still leave a little coating of brake dust, which sucks. But im still OCD about it and clean it off once a day... LOL.
