Brake calipers

Hay guys I going to be getting the 4 pot front and 2 pot rear brake calipers that are from the 06-07 WRX (the red ones) and wanted to know if that ment when I buy Pads that I need to buy 06-07 pads And do I need bigger Rotors to or are the rotors on my 05 big enough? If I need to upgrade I was thinking DBA Rotors maybe the 4000 Slotted rotors and pads Hawk HPS brake pads

Thanks

The front rotors are the same IIRC. Rears will have to be changed, which requires more then just the rotors. And yes, you will be purching 06/07 pads in the future. Subarugenuineparts.com sells a kit that comes with everything. And I know a lot of good information has been posted about the FHI 4pot conversion on this site since I did a lot of research prior to 06 on the subject.

Just FYI, this is overkill and needless unless you track (or similar) your car.

Dont forget the 07 STI limited also had the black calipers. Dont remember if they said "STI" or Brembo" though.

You will need either 06/07 rear rotors and 06/07 backing plates or aftermarket rear brackets (kartboy makes them, or you could wait for another round of these. The brake lines are the same.

I personally don't like the HPS pads. Imo, the pad is the most important part of your brake setup, and the HPS pads are just mediocre (especially considering how much they dust). I've heard good stuff about EBC Red stuffs and Posi Quiet. You can get away with cheaper rotors, but not pads.

Well I found the brakets for the rear calipers from Subarugenuineparts.com for around a $100 a pair. And I'm not completely set on buying hawk pads but there up there with other pads Im looking at.
