Blue coil springs??

So I was changing my trans and dif fluid this weekend and I noticed my coil springs are blue, I've only had the car a few months now and don't really know what was done to it before I baught it, the motor was all stock..and that's what I looked at, but it has a whiteline swaybar...so what I'm wondering is if anyone might know what kind of springs these might be because the car dosn't really seem lower to me...but I'm not real sure, I know there's a lot of wheel gap still if it is lowered. Thanks, Matt

The blue springs MAY be COBB springs... They don't offer but a 1"-1.5" drop.

All WRX's/STi's have HUGE wheel gap.

If there is still a good amount of gap...I don't think its the cobb springs. Probably the Prodrive Blues or Mach V Blues.

Is there any surefire way to check and see how much it is lowered or not?? Like measure how much gap there is now...### since I've ha the car I really didn't even think it was lowered haha...infect until I saw the coils were blue I was going to buy lowering springs in a couple weeks...Mach V springs still lower the car an inch in front and like an 1.5 in back I wanna say...any way in the front there is about 2 inches from fender to wheel tread and in back there is about an 1.25 gap...I'm not real sure how much there is stock though

Take a pic of your car and post it... maybe with your fingers in the gap.

Those aren't the COBB springs... for sure.

Not sure on the other ones... someone will chime in.

It is lowered. Considerably less gap than stock. My car is un lowered see my profile pic? My wheels are 17s also but Im sitting very very close to total stock wheel height. So it looks the same with stock wheels. Just sayin.

Probably MachV springs. They are blue. I have a set sitting on my garage floor waiting to be installed. MachV's do not have an aggressive drop or ride so that's probably why you didn't notice.

I think it looks good. Might want to get rid of those stock wheels and get a flush set so they don't look like they're hiding in your wheel wells. :-)

Definitely lowered, look like the MachV's could possibly be Cobb though hard to tell from the angles

If you're into performance ii wouldn't get the 18s unless they are light weight. If you want to run them in winter get 17s. You want a good sidewall for potholes. I run my 17s all year in lots of snow. Lightweight too. Mine are drag brand. Cheap and light and gauranteed by discount tire.
