07 WRX wheel size question ?

what width 17inch wheels to buy? And what size tires can fit with out rubbing? Suspension is in the near future so I dont want rubbing issues. Im looking to get a wide as possible tire without any problems. If anyone has any suggestions I appreciate it.

well I took a look at that and since I know nothing about offset and wheel sizes it was completely useless. So can someone tell me a GOOD width for a 17'' rim size and what size tire to put on it. thanks

I explain wheel size and offset IN DETAIL in that link including a diagram to show you on a physical wheel. You NEED to understand wheel size AND offset to answer your question. If you just want a simple answer:

225/45/17
17x7.5 or 17x8
+48 to +53 offset

I run the Rota Boost 17x8 and love that little extra it gave me. Oh and the offset is +48 on them. So basically anything 17x8 with a +48 offset and you are good to go.

245 is most likely the widest tire you can go without rubbing. 235's will easily fit the stock 17x7 wheel.

I would too- 235 either 45 or 40/17 is not ideal on a 7" rim, 7.5" would be the bare minimum IMO, 8" better yet
