wrx + sti 1st gear compatibility

I have a 2002 wrx with the TXS stage 4 kit and a FMI. I fear that my 1st gear is at the end of its rope and I will be installing a new clutch soon.

My question is, can I install just the sti 1st gear or do I have to buy the whole gear set. The same question applies with aftermarket gears.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

you have a few options:

RA gearset installed in your case-cheapest
dogbox gearset in your case-4k
STi six speed conversion-6k, strongest


and oh yes...its not a pretty sight when you blow first out of the tranny...not that i have done that....
