I got the High power because its like 200 less and it looks perfect to me and its the same exhaust but with just black piping and the stainless steel axel back. I got it for 525 shipped with 2 gaskets.

Watermelon shooter man. I used to have a knock off CBE that was "JDM" style, big and annoying. Its all personal preference though.. I love my Cobb TBE and wouldnt trade it for anything but a Kukamei (spelling?), hard to find, but mean as HE!!. Just no denying that some type of CBE is needed to let out the true sound of a Subaru.

as a general estimate, how much horsepower do TBE's add without replacing the up pipe?

an uppipe is not going to make that much in HP. No one really measures HP with just a TBE. With a tune it might add about 35 +-10whp....ish.

rollin on 17's now and they're dirty

HAHA, thanks Matt, I really did know where to find them, and my shop is a vendor for them, thats the only reason I know about them. One guy that works there even switched out his Kakumei CBE for something much more low key because of the added attention. But on the good side I do runt he Kakumei up pipe.

You are going to post a sound clip up once you put that cutout on right? I have have often thought to go that route, but like you said cutting up on my Cobb DP, I just dont know.

theres a few clips on youtube already...I think I'm gonna go with the SPT CBE because its still 3in so the tune won't be affected terribly when its closed...but yes I will be posting plenty of clips lol

I have heard and seen those clips. Some are alrite, some dont do it justice. I have heard in person. Its a decent sound. I really want to know if theres a power gain. I havent really looked it up or into it. Im sure you will find out though.
