worth getting an intake?

i got my 02 wrx with 114k miles, was thinking about aftermarket breathers, thinking about getting an intake? just not sure if its really worth it with the mileage, if so, any particular brands anyone has any insight on? thanks guys!

What are you wanting it for? Power? Not going to get anything out of it. If you want the sound, get a panel filter and remove the silencer in the fender well.

yah i was looking for sound, and pannel filter? u mean liek a drop in filter?

Yes K&N, HKS, or some other type of air filter will do.

You dont need it. But it does help for you to hear the sound better. I have never done it, and havent looked/seen of people doing just a panel and driving around, the doing the intake silencer and driving around to compare.

Or you could throw me a few bucks and I'll ship you my stock snorkus and you can cut it up and modify it so it looks like those fancy aftermarket elbows for a fraction of the cost. Plus, you'll have your stock snorkus in case you ever want to revert back to stock.
