winter problems

with winter around the corner it reminded me about a problem i had last year the original owner had put a subaru preformance intake on the car an i would continuosly get a wet maf sensor which would make the car run like crap an set a code i wouldnt even have to hit a puddle just from it being cold an raining out the filter would never be wet what is a solution new intake, differnt airfilter style, or

well my winter project is going to drop a hybrid motor into the thing this winter so i dont wanna choke it down

Okay how about a factory intake???? LOL Trust me you're not going to choke it down, but if your wanting to go aftermarket then get a SRI.*

Are you putting stock WRX heads on that hybrid?

im going to get a full dyno tune after the motor swap that will be when i aadd the intake .

Wait I'm confused it has a factory Subaru intake on it? Or is it a SPT intake? Are you going to run stock cams or aftermarket cams on those heads?

Are you meaning you have a SPT short ram already ? They are restrictive as it is.


EDIT: Sorry Keith, didn't read all the way down here. OP needs a "real" SRI.

ya its a spt intake. ill probabaly get the stock ones ground

Use a stock intake, your tuner will thank you. Buy some used STi cams don't use regrinds I beg you...Oh and are you getting the combustion chambers matched for the 2.5 block? If not use a set of Brisk plugs to help avoid knocking, detonation or whatever you kids are calling it these days...
