Where is Ron (Donkey) ?
Anyone heard from him ?
Have a friend with a VF22, 2.0, 660 DW injectors, Injen FMIC setup and it's idling rough as all get out. 1K-1400K
Several of us have tried numerous things except pulling the fuel pump and back filter.
Getting a misfire in cyl 1 and 3.
Stock heat plugs (told him to run the NSC's but nada yet)
Changed out the Turbo XS BOV to another one... still doing it
Switched plugs and packs.... still the same.
Changed out the IACV and gasket after cleaning it and it's the same.
Changed out the filters (front for sure)
Ran a crappy map from Clark Tuner e-map(why, I haven't a clue)
Now has a PDX(that right?) e-map
Noticed his AP is not turning on every time when we hook it up to the car or a laptop (not sure if the AP is bad or what) Plugged mine into the laptop and it's fine.
Not too sure of the next step to this nightmare.
Told him to switch everthing back to stock and flash a stock map back on there to rule out another bad e-tune.
Did you try cleaning the MAF sensor? First, see if it's dirty. If it is, you can pop it in a plastic ziploc bag with a little rubbing alcohol and swish it around a bit until it's clean... reinstall it, reset the ecu, and see if it still idles funny.
I apologize if you already tried that.
Do a compression and leakdown test.
Yeah, I mentioned the MAF cleaning before I left.... no idea if he did it yet. Will let you know... Thanks for reminding me of that.
That's what I told him as well about a leakdown test... but as a last resort.... Will report back soon....

Check to make sure all your clamps on your FMIC piping are secure too.
He's still regularly on ClubWRX.
I haven't had any time to call my bud to see what he's done on this project yet.
