I have an 02 WRX, with the following mods HKS uppipe, Inivida downpipe, Tanabe catback, AEM cold air, turbosmart BOV, and a Greddy TT. I was thinking of installing a fuel pump and a boost controller (turbosmarts e-boost) or just install a stand alone system, and if I did that which would be the best to go with? Any help on this would be great thanks again for everyones help.
I agree with the UTEC but you don't need headers yet. An IC isn't bad either because it sets you up for use of a bigger turbo. But before you go to that you will need a fuel pump and bigger injectors.
I'd also consider selling off that cold air intake, if you do some searching you'll find under most circumstances, a CAI actually hurts the way the car runs rather than helps. It leans it out in a way that you would need some engine management to correct. See if you can trade for a short ram type with someone that doesn't know any better, or maybe someone with a 2.5 RS, as I think CAI's are fine for a NA car (haven't done much in the line of research there though). I would definately recommend the UTEC, but also look at the other engine management options and think about where you want to go with the car. The UTEC lets you change the way the ECU operates everytime you change something on the car without spending any more money. There are more and more experts out there at tuning the UTEC, so you could probably find someone in your area to help you out. Subbie owners are normally quite nice people.
