Well here is where i stand, i had my car on the dyno and we were starting to tune and and we found out that cylinder 4 had a miss fire, so we did a compression check and it only had 70psi in it while the others had 175, well long story short i got a new STI short block and im using my 2.0 heads, and i was wondering what i should do with my 2.0 short block anyone have any ideas.
what do you think the the block, rods, crank, and pistons are worth, does anyone ever want a 2.0 block, i bought a short block STI motor brand new for $1,699 bucks
That sucks man, 70 is reeeeally low. People will take the 2.0 either rebuilt or not, not sure what they go for. Check nasioc for a price comparison between what you think it should be and what they go for over there.
hell i will sell the block, rods, crank and pistons for $150 plus shipping just to get it out of my garage. the cylinders look perfect man you can still see the honing job on it from the factory
^^ me too, shit I will give you 200 dollars for it
bore it out to a 2.2 then buy a beater RS and turn it into a rally car. that's what i would do with it.
