wastegate issue?

i been having boost issues for awhile, doesnt really climb after 15 psi. im thinking thers a leak somewhere in the lines or ebcs. someone suggested to run the car with the wastegate line off and my boost just shot up to 25psi and seemed the leak was gone. so is the wastegate the problem? or possibly the ebcs?

big 16g turbo, 800cc modded injectors, 255 fuel pump, SRI, stock TMIC, up pipe, down pipe, headers (all uncatted), BOV (atmospheric), turbo inlet, grimmspeed 3port ebcs, tuned by Matt at benchmark but just base map.

also, if my headers or up pipe is leaking, would i still achieve full boost with the wastegate line off?

Not smart....

Try hooking a line from the compressor to the wastegate without the t going to the bcs. That means you'll run spring pressure on the wastegate.

What you did was completely disable the wastegate so you turbo has no way of controlling boost, which is not good.

To me it sounds like you have a boost control issue, not so much a leak, especially since you just hit 25 psi.

also yesterday i decided just for the hell of it to take out all the hoses and vacuum lines and put em back in. maybe that coulda been a problem also. i been having a weird sputter problem in low rpms and its been pissing me off. well when i put all the lines back on with new zip ties on em, hopped in my car and hit the gym, the sputter was gone. it felt so nice and boost was just building nicely. now time to fix my broken endlink lol
