Sorry, I guess I should have explained. When I speak of EM, I do mean engine management. Of course, I assume you already know that the car needs to be tuned after installing EM, but I guess the term is used semi-loosely.
OMG U GUYS ARE KILLING ME LOL just when i thought i was getting it u had to say a tune is required AFTER i load a map. from what i read i thought loading a map is ## own tune but a protune is that professional bullshit. so loading ## own map is engine management?? and let me c what is the point of getting a tune after u load a map isn't that like...the same thing but not as proffesionaly?? because i got to start thinking loading a map is like a substitue for a tune. once again sooo sorry but it's just killing me i have to get it lol really sorry
Get buy a Cobb Accessport, it's an ENGINE MANAGEMENT system, it just plugs right into the OB2 port underneath the steering wheel, load a "map" and you'll be happy with the results then get a turbo back exhaust and you'll be very very happy. With good driving you'll be close to an STi.
Dude you use the cobb AP to load a base map to your car that will get you close so that you dont blow up your car on the way to the tuner, when you get there the tuner will then change the basemap around that you loaded onto your car before you got there to better fit your car and make more power...
Its not that hard to understand.

How on Earth did a thread about the EASIEST mod that you can do to your car get to be 3 pages?!?
The AP comes loaded with base maps and you plug it into your car and 15 min later, you have EM and an "off the shelf" tune. You wont even have dirty fingernails.
hrmm their right if you dont have a heap of money at ## fingertips forget about outrunning the sti..but a good turbo back exhaust, uppipe, turbo inlet, and some EM(cobb AP) will be a very fun start
Comprehension first. Dont even start to think about "taking out STIs" without knowing AND understanding the car better. You might be trying to hard to understand, its really not that hard at all.
