I have a small "regular" 16G on my STi and it dyno'd a little higher than you'd see a stage2+ (meaning fuel mods as well as downpipe and tune) STi on the same dyno. Even the regular 16G is capable of better numbers than a VF48 IMHO. The MHI turbo is slightly more efficient which is probably why even though they are of very similar size, the MHI turbo puts out slightly better numbers.
