Question vf34 turbo

Thinking off getting a vf34 turbo pretty soon, just wanting to know how much of a difference i should expect from my stock turbo and current setup. btw, i will be getting an aps top mount intercooler (if i can find one) around the same time. How much of a hp difference should i notice w/ or w/out intercooler from my stock turbo?
My current setup (if there isn't already a link to it on here) is: slowboy 3" turboback exhaust complete with 4"-3" d/p and hi-flo cat, hks uppipe, greddy digital boost controller with boost set at 42%... about 16-17 psi, intake, forge blowoff valve, s-afc 2 air fuel controller, 660 injectors (major overkill), turbo timer, ported exhaust manifold and throttlebody, coolant bypass, and egt & boost gauges.
Will the difference in power be very noticeable? any idea how many crank/whp i'll be running? (there isn't a dyno within 6 hour of where i live) would i be way better off with a vf22. i like racing usually under 1/4 mile... what turbo is best for that? with vf 34 what shuld i run my boost at? sorry if too many questions, just answer what you can
thanks

around 18-19 psi would be safe. I wouldn't want to do any super rediculous boost like 22+ or anything without fuel management like UTEC or Accessport. How does your s-afc work? I'm kinda interested in it, because there's a lot of different opinions about it on this forum.

By the way, not wanting to hijack this post or anything, is an APS TMIC good enough to run a bigger turbo like a VF22, or even a VF34 or 1820?

I am very happy with my VF34. Although, with that Greddy EBC and that SAFC you will have a hard time getting it running right. SAFC + WRX is not a good mix.

VF 34 IS GOOD

im happy with vf turbo... if you want all out 1/4 mile speed, vf22 can net you a better ET... along with more lag and less street/daily driveability...

top mount can work with those turbos... but will simply not cool the boost as effectively as a front mount... therefore your max boost will likely be limited by the cooling capability of the top mount you get... i would recommend a front mount if you really wanna make the best possible 1/4 mile time...

a UTEC would probably make your tuning life easier...

i just ordered a hyper flow front mount.. i talked to some people who said it would be better to go with a vf34.. iam still thinking about going with a vf22 just because my setup is more for top end power.. but yea i would go with a vf34 one of the safer turbos to run.. as long as you get a good tune and dont do any crazy launches i think you would be ok.. but as for the best turbo for the 1/4 mile. a vf22 with a port and polish will make a big difference and spool quicker to. it will get you to the 300whp mark but not much more. a bigger turbo will net you a better trap speed. also it will give you a kick in the ass when it hits to.. one of the bigger turbos i see some hardcore guys running is the fpGreen.. they seem to be makeing 350+whp on pump gas..but you dont get full boost till high 4k or 5k.. if you want to drive your car every day go with a vf34.. if you want a car that will smash you in the seat and make you friends cry go with a 20g or green.. but dont think you car will last very long though..
