I am about to purchase an uppipe, probably a Cobb or Helix. I was jus wondering if someone could give me an estimated time to do it, and some basics of what i have to do. And if any, warnings? I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Adam
it took me about 3 hrs to install an up-pipe. but i would have done things a lot diffrenitly. make sure you get all the gaskets you need. u/p to manifold u/p to turbo. theres a how to on scoobymods.com and some companys snd you insturctions(perrin)
If you can get it in the air it shoudnt take more than 1 1/2 hrs. Droping your exhaust manifold all the way out will help. Leave all the bolts loose untill youve got everything in place. And get some muffler cement.
I have found that taking the right side of the headers off and the downpipe off make things go a lot faster...that way you don't have to take the turbo and TMIC off.
Please share your secret method as I am doing this this weekend. I will have it on a lift and it looks like if I take the exhaust manifold off I can get to it pretty easily.

Take the manifold and DP off and the up pipe will come right out
