I plan on replacing my turbo soon and when i do so im going to replace my stock uppipe with an aftermarket one. Ive been looking at the Perrin, and i think it seems to be a good one. Anybody have any experience with it? Also, the Perrrin says it includes an EGT sensor bypass that will trip no CEL, is this going to be correct? I appreciate the help.
Any aftermarket up-pipe is greater than stock. As for the EGT sensor just remove it and get the splicer to disable the CEL, found at radio shack 2.2 KOHMS
Personally its your preference, but I would just get something that's cheaper if you can. You don't have to necessarily go with Perrin.
But if the sensor is bypased then i wont need to get the resistor, right? Also i have Cobb AP so if it does throw any CEL's then ill be able to clear them. Does anybody know the code that the EGT might throw?
thanks for the codes man. ive never had to clear a code with my AP so when my CEL comes on i just plug up my AP and use it to clear the code? Seems easy and convenient.
im running the perrin up pipe...love it, havent had experience with any other ones except stock so i cant really compare it to anything but i love it
