You will not pass if you do not have any cats at all. You at least need one cat on the downpipe. Helix makes one and some other companies do as well. Good Luck.

hey man i have the DC Sports Up pipe with a flex section in it.... I just got my car inspected and in the state of VA you must have 1 cat to pass inspection... when they asked where my cat was i told them i had a high flow race cat in my Up and they looked in and saw the flew section and let me go.. but that is in VA I dont know about NY....here we dont have a sniffer test....

Call a shop in your area and ask if they do an emissions check, or just a check to see if you have a cat in place.

I recommend the Invidia catted DP... I originally ordered a Helix catted DP, but they are on backorder indefinitely... at least a few months. The Invidia is great quality, and has perfect fit. Perrin, Cobb, and Prodrive also make Catted DP's, but the Cobb and Prodrive are much more expensive.

+1 for the Invidia. I had one on my 02. I prefer Invidia over just about anything else out there. ScoobyTuner is a good place for Invidia stuff. I have had Invidia cat-backs and downpipes and never had a problem with them. IMO They are ALOT better than Helix, and they don't cost that much more and the best part is, you don't have to wait as long to get it!
