Very nice. I will have to attempt this very shortly. I was wondering if it would be better for me to go ahead and purchase a full exhaust systemt instead of the downpipe seperatly. What do you guys think?

DId you get a CEL when you installed the Uppipe? I heard that is a common problem as soon as you install that dern thing. If you did get a CEL what did you do to get around it?

Wow. I talked to Turbo XS and they said it is very common to get a cel when you put in the up pipe. No riggin' huh? I think I might be looking at both mods at the same time then. I just want about 3k to blow on my car! Thanks for the info.

Uppipe and Downpipe

I am sorry if this is a repeat post on the board. I have been looking at uppipe and downpipe sets now for about 2-3 months. The downpipe I am most interested in is the Scoobysport Downpipe. The upipe I am still looking and have heard a lot of good things about the Vishnu uppipe. Has anyone installed either one of these pipes and what did you think about it? Is it worth the 2-400 dollars plus your time and patience?

uppipe and exhaust thoughts

I just bought the MRT uppipe, Ingen Intake, and the BPM TT turbo-back exhuast. What a difference they make, holy S!! The uppipe will greatly improve spoolup and even my low-end power seems better (it could be that I just fly by hte low end quicker now). If you don't mind the sound of the BPM (kind of loud without the silencer) it's a great unit. Really thick stainless, and fit nice.

As for fitting the uppipe the easest way I found was to remove the downpipe first, to get at the bolts. then remove the cross-over pipe uder the passengerside head. I had to have someone pull the pipe out while I push up on the head, but you could probably jack up the engine only and get hte same effect. reinstillation was a breeze.
