Hello,
so i'm replacing UP/DP and am reading that you should leave the egt probe out of the UP. Can anyone tell me how do i plug the bung where the probe goes? I'm guessing that i just need to find a bolt that fits but just trying to figure out the best way. Thanks a lot for your help.
You can take it out just use a resistor to bypass it and you can use any ol bolt that'll fit to plug it (It is a 12mm bolt, 1.25mm pitch. You'll want it pretty short I believe, probably about 10-15mm)
EGT fix is either a 1/2 watt or 1/4 watt 2.2k Ohm resistor. You can get them in packs of 5 from radioshack for real cheap

Thanks for your answers, not sure if I worded it right but I was mostly looking for the screw size to plug the bung, got it all figured out and everything back on but 0 boost and the engine is really loud so pretty sure I have a nice size gap somewhere pre turbo. Gonna have to search around tomorrow and make sure everything is nice and tight. So frustrating thanks again for your help Oh, and btw I don't have cobb ap yet, thats gonna be my next purchase so I can go right to stage 2
^^ i think he means the EGT probe, that link is for on o2 bung, the egt is a 12mm x 1.25
Dumb question, But did you put the o2 sensor back in? (its not in the uppipe but right before it, you have to take it out to get the heatshield off.)
Did you reuse the gaskets, or the ones that came with the uppipe? The ones that usally come with the uppipes are crap. (the ones that have the dimples in them) I always use new subaru gaskets.

Ya, I was talking about the EGT bung which is a lot smaller than the o2 bung. And yes, it was the o2 sensor that I forgot to put in So all back together and getting good boost, sounds a lot different but only at idle, high rpms, and downshifting. 2-4k rpms sound the same, not sure if everything is right or I'm just being paranoid and thats how its gonna sound. I realize it will sound a bit different, probably just am being paranoid. Thanks again for all your help
