Unusual exhaust setup?

Hey all.

I got an Apexi N1 catback in my WRX. For those who don't know, it carries a 2.5" mid section, with a 3" axleback.

I'm in the market for a DP, but I'm aware that most DP's are full three inch. Would this create a problem on my current setup?

Also, will a 3" DP bolt up to my current 2.5" mid section piping (in terms of flanging etc)? I'm not sure about the other brands, but I've confirmed that the JDM 3" Cusco Div WG DP will work on my car fine because it has a 2.5" reduction right at the end of the DP, where it would normally bolt on to a catback.

However, availability and pricing have been obvious setbacks. Would the other brands (say HELIX etc) that offer full 3", bolt up on my setup? If not...which other brands have this 2.5" reduction near the end of the DP?

Any help would be great!

Most Downpipes will work with that set-up...I suggest researching what you would like to use and work from there..

What is your budget on this project?

Why don't you want to go with a full 3" exhaust system?

Thanks for the reply Boostbuddy!

Well, I'm working with a limited budget, so I figure I'll just be able to afford a DP fornow. I'll be checking your site to see what's available

Any you recommend?

If you are just going with a 'stock' rear section I recommend the Megan...it is cheap and easy
