Yeah I drove the S2000 and I was to say the least dissappointed. To feel the power you have to get up above 8000 rpm. For 32000 dollars, I definately wouldn't buy one, although they look sweet as hell.
As of right now the 4g63 is easyer to mod.. give the ej20 a little more time and it will be just as good or better.. If the ej20 was out as long as the old 4g63 was we would be just as fast..
No kidding. The 4g63 has been around forever! The ej20 just needs some time to gain aftermarket support like the 4g63. Plus you can't beat the sound of a boxter engine!!!
Yeah the ZO6 is fast as a mother. But its a Corvette. I am not a fan at all of Corvettes. Plus I am 16 and that is an older person's car. Im into tuning and stuff and I would LOVE an evo. But having a 2004 wrx for a first car ain't bad.
There's plenty of tuning to be done to any Corvette. There are super charger kits for the Z06 that make over 550 rwhp. And that's a bolt on kit. How much more tuning do you need? But, you also have to realize that a Z06 is $20000 more than an STi/EVO. Put that extra $20,000 into your STi/Evo and the only place you'd see a Z06 is in your rear view mirror!!!! Hell, the Z06 isn't much faster than a stock STi. I want a wrx/sti so that I have a car that I can drive year round (I live in Montana), take skiing and then go to the track that night and kick some a$$. You can't beat the AWD turbo cars practicality.
It's better to not compare apples and oranges here guys. You put 20,000 into almost any car and you're pretty much going to kill anything on the road. Don't compare two totally different cars which are in totally different price ranges. That's like comparing the GT2 Porsche with a Yugo.
Not to mention a ZO6 pulls slightly over 1 G in the skid pad, which far excedes the WRX, and probably even the STi.
The STi pulls like a .89 on the skidpad. The STi is fast because it has really short gears, a Z06 pulls all the way to its top speed, which i believe is loads more than an STi. How could you not be a fan of the corvette, as far as sports cars go, its the best bang for your buck, and whoops cars twice its price and more. Not to mention the TT 427 vettes. 9 second street car, and thats not even with slicks. Sure you can turbocharge the hell out of a 2.5 liter, but u can also turbocharge the hell out of a small block chevy. There's no replacement for displacement.

If i could get one of those cars, I'd personaly get a STi, Making a STi that kills a porsche, corvette or whatever is much more hard, plus once its done i'd feel a lot more satisfied. If I could buy a 9 second car like a GT3, that'd be great but for upgrading, I'd love to have an STi, but that's because throwing a small car like the STi around the track that can compete with the porsches in AUTO-X would just be cool. just my opinion.
Corvette is a midlife crisis car, young people in general view it as their dads car. Personal, being 20, i would much rather own a STI than a corvette any day. A STI is much sweeter than a Corvette. Four door is much more practicle, all wheel drive owns two wheel (also owns transmissions thought), turbo anyday is cooler then n/a.
Who is this kid kidding?? Z06 only slightly faster then sti? A Z06 will murder an sti. Fastest times I have seen for 100% stock z06 are 12 flats on stock good year eagle f1 supercars. Don't get me wrong buddy i love my suby but i wouldn't make a overstated comment like that.
