Turbo-XS removal

Well I took the car down to the dealership and they told me that my car has the 2.0L in it so I am posting here now. I have read and have been told to get rid of this Tubo-XS piggyback ECU that is in the car and to also take out the Apexi boost controller that is in the car. I plan on doing this when I get the new injectors and fuel pump. I plan do do the turbo at the same time. My question to you all is:
How much of a pain in the ass is it going to be to remove the ECU?
Is it going to be as simple as unplugging it and remapping the factory ECU?
Thanks all.

Removing the piggy back should be pretty easy, tuning the car for new parts will cost you.

No don't use that...You could go a few ways with this, Cobb Accessport, a professional tune or use Open Source(i.e. Romraider, ECUflash, etc)

I plan on going AP rout. I am just wondering how much of a pain that is going to be to take off.
I have read on here that these boost controllers are not good to use.
Thanks for your help.

Yeah the AP is a great tool to have for these cars. The piggy back should simply just unplug from the ECU then plug the harness back into the ECU...
This should give you an idea of what I mean...

This article was very helpful. It answered the question on the little switch that is in the car. No Ethernet problem is know what the hell each one was for. The good thing is it is going soon so I do not need to know what the hell the settings are for. Thank you for the help.
