Getting my Invidia [cat-less] turbo up-pipe installed on my '04 WRX on Jun 25, and it was suggested I wrap and coat the pipe as part of the installation.
I believe the concept for heat shielding is to reduce thermal losses prior to the turbo to optimize it's function, but is this recommendation because the OEM turbo up-pipe has shields that can't be reused with the Invidia item?
Also, do I really need to wrap AND coat the turbo up-pipe, or is wrapping sufficient for a daily driver with occasional track use?
