ok so here's the deal.... i just got the cobb tuning AP for my 04 wrx, i have a perrin short ram, bosal down/mid pipe and an apexi world sport 2 catback..... my question is this: i am looking to do a turbo/fuel upgrade (and yes i know i need a new clutch/flywheel) but i've been looking at the street tuner software, and all i've seen is maps for VF34 turbos....so what do i do if i'm not planning to use that turbo? sell the AP and get a UTEC?
PLEASE ADVISE!!!
Pro tune cost anywhere from 300 to 500 depending on the tuner. That is for one map. I got the street tuner software, and have 3 new maps so far.... one that I made myself, and 2 made by a profesional tuner on a dyno that cost me $400 in dyno time. At the very least getting these three maps in pro-tuner formate would have cost me $900, at most about $1500. Instead I spent $400 for the ST software, and $400 on dyno time for a total of $800. Next two purchases for the wrx are a wide band O2 sensor, and an alcohol injection system
