First year for the STi, my only word of advise is to do a compression check. They are known for having ringland failure...Also be careful of the right(passenger) front axle shaft..

Your also forgetting that they have synchros that wear out normally on 4th and 5th gear. 5th is known to be the biggest failure rate. Which can be fixed with upgrading to 06 and up type synchros.

Well, it happened to mosc and another member on here. Plus many others on Nasioc on their 04-05 STIs.

Kamotors is an unknown
I've used some other turbo inlets and decided to start selling a nice fitting one. Its similar to the samco but can be installed without removing the manifold. It takes about an hour to install and fits nicely. It has clearance for the power steering bolt and is easy to get on the turbo.

I'm letting them go for cheap on ebay.

You should PM a mod and try to get vendor status to sell stuff on here.

Nice inlet BTW. Only issue I see is that the overall diameter is super close to stock.

If you can still get them, avoid APS. It's a nice piece, but it was a nightmare to install and still have some rubbing issues. Surprised it hasn't rubbed thru yet.

Thanks, I will try to get vendor status in the future, I'm just starting out in the Subaru community(havent even sold anything for subarus yet), I've been in the BMW market for the last 5 years. The I.D is much smoother/less restrictive and opens up to a larger I.D. than stock. The sound of the turbo spooling after the install is awesome.

Everything APS is insanely hard to get a hold of. My Agency Power inlet is basically a knock off APS inlet. I don't have any issues with it. Or was this directed at someone else?

Nope, it was just a PITA to install. I knew they were hard to get. Just in case he saw something that was a deal or along those lines.

Yeah, mine was installed when my motor was pulled. Otherwise you need to loosen up the intake manifold or just take it off. Not as easy as the flexible inlets.
