Triple Gauge Pack Mounting Preferences

2 Attachment(s)
Folks,
I'm planning to purchase a gauge pack of matching boost, oil pressure and EGT gauges for my '04 WRX.

Mounting options for a triple gauge pack are :

1. OEM centre dash gauge pod housing, or
2. A-Pillar gauge pod.

What would be your preferences for mounting a triple gauge pack in this auto, and why?

Never would I ever do an A-pillar one. That light will just cast a reflection in the window.

Hahaha brfatal, I was just about to say the opposite. Although I have a 10 wrx so the dash guages look funny.

Its really just a matter of preference. I have the a-pillar one and have never had a problem with reflection. The only problem i have ever had is having to drill holes in my stock a-pillar trim and bumping my head sometimes when leaning forward getting in and out. Also most are black and don't match the passenger grey pillar when installed. This can be cured with some black plasti-dip. With that said, I wish I had the clock pod. I think that's just cause its different though. I don't think I would like the steering column one (although its not triple) cause it looks as though it obstructs the view of your others in the cluster.

If I were to do it over, center dash is where i'd put mine.

Glare on the window is not an issue. What is an issue is that they're impossible to see sometimes during the day when the sun shines directly on them. Good thing a certain company invented peak/warn gauges that beep/flash.

I like A-pillar mounts because it feels like you're piloting a fighter jet. I also think it's pretty neat that people can see them through the back glass when they're behind you and from the side when they're next to you.

It all comes down to personal preference, really.

Nothing's wrong with a love affair with your performance auto. See:
