Tranny question

So you guys don't think it would be worth it to get the completely assembled tranny with the ra gearset and new sychros and all that. It seems that would be easier and cheaper to install than buying the gear set a new sychros and having that installed. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't know.

I wouldn't say it's not worth it. It's definitely a great thing to have. I mean I wish I had enough money to blow on a RA gearset tranny. It's just for the setup you're going for I don't think you'll need it. It's like over-engineering.

I never said don't do it, i was simply suggesting if you do, buy it assembled or have a shop that has experience in building subaru tranny do it, that's all. I think it's a great mod. The closer gears on the RA will give you a different feeling car all around. It will give you more useable 2nd and 3rd gears, quicker boost etc. Definiately a worthwhile mod if you gots the dough. And if you do it while your stocker is still intact, you can use it for your core.
