Total Engine Rebuild.

Hey Guys. I just found out that my piston rings in my 2002 Impreza Wrx are screwed. So i figured i have to pull the motor anyways, so why not do it right and make her really go. Just wondering on what internals i should buy, and from where. if you guys could give me some help that would be great. I am going to do forged pistons, valves, conecting rods. Upgrade camshafts, injectors, fuel pump, etc. i all ready have a full AEM stand alone engine management system, perrin front mount intercooler, full 3 inch turbo back AEM exhaust(or DX whatever it is called) Nitrous fogger system with a 100 shot jet. Boost controler. so if you guys could just give me your input on what brand names of the parts that i will be needing i would be more than happy thats dudes. oh ya and what about a forged crank is it worth the money? and then i think i am going to go with the Perrin Rotated turbo kit. thanks agian

Well, I'm running CP pistons and full (Raew Performance) Axis Power Racing Stage 5 motor.. Check them out if you don't want to do the work yourself or if you do Ron will sell you parts..

Edit, just noticed that Ron dropped his 2.0 stuff but he can still get you parts.. Don't pay attention to his prices, he is cool and will work the prices to help you out..

+1 for Axis Racing, or Raw Performance as they are called now. Their motors are excellant quality.

I thought I would be the first to ask here, but with all those mods and now a built motor and rotated turbo, what are you running transmission wise on that bugeye?

And there really isnt anything wrong with that as long as you know and know how to treat it. Only problem is you cant really rail on it without that small thought of having to fix your "mistake".

That woud depend on how much money you are willing to spend and what you really want out of the car. I have read about anywhwere from a 2.6 to a 2.8L stroked WRX/STI before.
