TMIC or FMIC

im going to be keeping the stock turbo, how much boost will i be loosing if i got FMIC, the only mods im doing is full TBE and cobb stage 2 and then after that im trying to make the car look nice and clean for exterior mods, i wanted the FMIC b/c it looks sick but how bad is it on a stock turbo with those two mods?

too much lag keep your stocker unless you want a bigger turbo. or just buy a shiny front mount core and bolt it on the front for looks.

It's not realy "LAG" so much as Pressure drop. In all honestly it's the same thing.. You really should keep the stock TMIC. When stepping up to a FMIC the volume of space that is added needs to be pressurized just like it does with the tmic.. Adding the larger FMIC core and extreme length of piping requires much more time for the same size turbo to pressureize..

Regardless if you get either, you will need to get a tune to see anything from putting on the new unit.

my humble opinion would be to get a bigger tmic ,something like the STI , aps or hyperflow tmic .it gives much better cooling and doesnt have that tremedous pressure fluctuates of the fmic kit.
if not , go for the v mount set up as the pipings are reasonably shorter than that of aftermarket fmic kits and doesnt set you back as much lag.
