TGV Question.

Quick question.
While cleaning my intake manifold I separated the TGV from it to give that a good cleaning as well and noticed one side is closed and the other side is half open, are both supposed to be in equal positions or do they occasionally sit unequal at times?
I spun a bearing in the engine so not sure if that would do something to set them at different positions.
I didnt have any CEL codes prior and everything ran fine until the bearing went.

I dont want to put the manifold back together until I know for sure this isn't a problem.

Thanks.

When I took mine off to delete them they were both in the same position.

What happens when you delete them?
I've seen a few things on it but didn't really get that far into it.

You basically gut out the rod and butterfly's inside them to get more airflow. You have to turn some codes off when you do it or you will get a cel. Deleting them will remove the motors and sensors too. The motors are known to fail occasionally which can be an expensive fix if you take it somewhere. I think I used meaty's tgv delete guide as reference when I did mine.
