Also correct me if I am wrong Brockton, I think the 08 has the baby booster in it, this could be your reason why that your not hearing the turbo spool

I actually have a video but I am running a cobb dp and then a strait 3'' muffler delete. Honestly I'm not Raspy at all, only on warm up it is raspy but once it is warm, little or none.
I love my strait but if you don't like it do be really loud, then don't run it, or make sure you have very good speakers and bass to knock it down inside

I was thinkin bout goin SP just to test it out.

Anyone ever do SP on a budget, like get the material themselves, weld flanges, ya know.

If so how many sections did you make and what was the wallet damage?

I was going to have a straight pipe axle back made for mine so I can switch out between it and my hks. My local muffler shop quoted me $50 if I supply the 3" 2 bolt flange which is $25 on eBay.

I used to weld up test pipes in shop class, I was never the best welder there but they held well enough. We used straight pipes from the local parts store so it was affordable even on a high school students budget. pipes come as cheap as $20 for 3 inch piping, If you have a turbo flange and a welder you are more than halfway there. To keep it from getting too loud you might want to add a resonator to your setup but thats your call.

I may have outgrown it but I don't really like the crazy loud exhaust setups any more. I like the unrefined tone but the volume or a test pipe is more than I can handle for extended periods

They have a welder at my job so I'm good there.
The easy swap out for the axel back is the way I'll probably go as well Boo.
I hear some subies with straight pipes and they sound bada$$.

Im not too worried about what my neighbors think, I'm sure it cant be any louder than it already is with the HKS on.
