stock egt

i removed the stock egt out of the up pipe and was wondering if this is a quality sensor and could i use it with a after market gauge if i put a bung in the header????

What side is the 3rd cyl on???

no, the sensor is not compatible with aftermarket egt gauges, which use type k thermocouples. the oem sensor is a thermistor, which operates on a different principle.

cylinders are numbered front to back. the #1 cylinder is RH front. #2 is LH front and is set back about 2 inches which also makes room for the water pump on the front of the block. #3 is RH rear, and #4 is LH rear. the oem knock sensor is over #4.
