Hey guys this is my current set up.
Dc sports catless up/down pipe
Cobb cat back exhaust
Cobb accessport stage 2 mapping.
This is what I Was thinking of going with the cobb FP16G set up which would be the mods above as well as the following mods
Perrin TMIC Stealth
STI pinks
FP16G
Basically was wondering if any one on here has a similar set up, and if so did you see huge gains between stage 2 and the FP16G whether it be DYNO, 1/4 mile, Seat of the pants? Thoughts and opinions would be help full.
My goal is basically to hit around 260-280 whp. (My car is a automatic btw)I would also like to be a mid-high 12 second car on the 1/4 So I was wondering if you guys think that I will be a reasonable set of goals for this set up, or am I just pipe dreaming with this set up?
sounds good... cobb's map is kind of conservative though. If you get a tune, you can milk a lot more out of it and prob cut down the lag some (that will be an issue with the automatic)
+1 on the fuel pump and the protune.
There would be a nice bump in power with those upgrades. I would suggest looking into a new down pipe as well. The DC sport DP uses a flat plate similar to the stock DP at the wastegate opening. Getting a bellmouth or divorced DP will reduce turbelence at the turbo/DP connection and give you better power.
Ah I see, I was under the impression I wouldn't need a fuel pump but no problem there not very expensive, I am ordering my TMIC this weekend.
As for the down pipe I really am not looking to spend any more money on the car after this set up so getting a new down pipe is not something I am really looking to do unless I have to I mean will it create problems If I do not?
Thanks for the help I am glad you guys think the goals should be met!
I was wondering will the gain really be very noticeable though like is this essentially going to be like going from stock to stage 2? In terms of how much of a difference you will notice? Also I plan to eventually get a protune but probably not for a few months after having the set up.
you shouldn't have a problum with your down pipe it's just the divorced or bellmouth will make mr power. but not all that much more then the on you have. i wouldn' say it's worth spending another $200+ for another downpipe. and to look at what the diference will be look at the numbers. say you have 220 whp now and you have 270 after the new turbo and the other stuff then with a 50whp gain yes it will be like the diff between stock and stage 2.
