I personally would stay away from that. That is the exact setup I had on my car when I bought it. A local muffler shop had done it, I spent the extra money to get a good bellmouth downpipe and noticed a big difference in spoolup and go power.

+1 agreed unless the money value is too good to pass up. Now if you wanna forge some power...this might hurt in long run

+1

That pipe while catless still has no place for the wastegate gasses to go. Wait and find yourself a nice bellmouth or divorced wastegate downpipe.

If you got it for free, I say install it. You will see an increase in HP, but not the increase you would see from a bellmouth or divorced wastegate downpipe. You could always install it now and down the line get a better downpipe and then swap them out.

Even if you got it for free, the time to install it isn't worth it. Try to sell it on NASIOC or seomthign and get a Helix or something similar.

That my friend looks to be the HKS downpipe. It works and its free but its not the most efficiently designed downpipe.Clean it up (sandblast) ,slap some high temp paint on it,sell it on ebay,$profit$,put money towards better downpipe!

Nobody said you wouldn't see a HP increase, it just wouldn't be as much as you could see with a better designed downpipe. That particular downpipe blocks the wastegate gasses, so it won't flow as good.
