some decent cheap DIY mods or others...

Does anyone know of any other DIY mods other than the intake silencer remover?? Also, are there any other cheap mods that this college student can afford... some low priced mods and other things of that sort?

Theres the 3/16 mod that cost like 2 bucks, if you go to scoobymods.com and click on WRX you will see the 3/16 mod just follow that. Subaruwrxparts.com has some cheap stuff too like the steering rack bushings for 50 bucks

There is a mod to harden your transmission and engine mounts for about $15 total. It was borrowed from Nissan owners. Basically you buy some kind of hardner at a Home Depot, Lowes, etc. and fill all the holes in the mount and let it cure for 24-48 hours. But defiantly check out www.scoobymods.com for more DIY mods, they have tons.

Check out KastlesKorner. I just picked up some steering rack bushings for $17.

And as for hardening the mounts, Some people say to use WindowWeld from 3M but I prefer to get 2 part liquid urethane. If you go to McMasterCarr's website, they have a 94A durometer (hardness) liquid urethane that's perfect and costs less than $30 shipped. It should be just enough for the trans and engine mounts. I'm doing mine this weekend so I'll let you know.
