silencer delete help

I know, this is another dumb silencer delete thread, but with a twist...I read the post on how to do it, but it doesnt tell you how you get to the bulk of the snorkus that is inside the wheel well and fender.
Do I jack up the car and take off the tire, and take off the plastic inner fender well?
Can anyone post a brief rundown of how to get into that area between the fender? I dont want to start tearing it all apart if I dont have to.

a second set of hands will help

you dont have to take the inner fender plastic all the way off. I had my buddy pull it out of the way as i work the snorkus out. It just takes alittle convincing. I found these direction very helpful. http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113
Good Luck oh yea, take the wheel off.

By splashguard what part of the car are you referring to? Do you mean bend the inner plastic fender that is secured with screws and clips?

I was doing it by myself and just took the whole plastic wheel well off after jacking the car up. Didnt feel like messing around with it in the way and its only a few more clips. Once it was off completing the rest of the mod was easy!

Yes, but remove the clips and plastic screws. Remove the wheel first.

I just jacked the car up, turned the wheels all the way right, pulled back the fender liner, and pulled the silencer out, it required a little twisting, but came out fine.

It's not that hard to pull the bumper off, that makes it even easier to remove. I hate take wheel well skirts out
