You get what you pay for...... found a sweet deal on a used downpipe, So i was installing yesterday and i get the downpipe on and its freaking like 6 in. short to connect to the catback. All the mounts aligned, the one one the tranny and the one right above the old cat.So still in denial that something will work out i went ahead and ripped the rest of the exhaust off and relplaced to the muffler, that took ten seconds and was exactly in the same position as stock leaving me the 6 inch (or bigger) gap. Horseshiznit man. The only satisfaction i get is driving to my apt at 5 a.m. to piss off all the neighbors with my open downpipe...nascar style baby heh but yea has anyone heard of that, im on an 04 wagon maybe we are a little longer but i doubt it? what kind of DP is it? Is it a full length or a shortie? The JDM exhaust are shorter than the USDM ones, so it sounds like it may be one of those. ..

you need a test pipe or a high flow cat.
Yea its was only like 6 in so im not sure that it was the test pipe but i just cut the downpipe and welded a piece in between. Just sucked ### after all the hassle of rippin the stock downpipe off ill be damned if i was gonna turn around and put it back on. All good the shaggin wagon is back on the road.

I'm betting it's a TurboXS downpipe, which only works with their catback.
