there is no reason to put a purge in a cryo system. the whole idea for a purge is to get the air out of the lines so that when you hit it (on a car with a NOS shot) you get instant response. If you want to put a purge on to make it look like you have nitrous, then that's just ###. I'm sorry, but it is.

don't worry about putting a "bomb" in your trunk. NOS is ONLY flammable when mixed with fuel. It will not burn by itself. The brackets are made very tough so as not to break during an impact, and the bottles are made to hold the pressure. These are used on race cars don't forget. just make sure you have an "over pressure release valve" installed on the bottle in case it gets too hot in your trunk. the valve will bleed off excess pressure.

Man you guys are just over doing it... I got a co'2/purge system for $100 bucks installed excluding the duct tape.
1 Take three bb guns
2 duct tape two facing the TMI and one facing out of the hood scoop
3 run three string from the guns to one string going into the car and pull...=)

Seriously...what about the stress nos puts on the tranny, axles....etc? YEs yes...you can blow up...what about the stress NOS puts on the motor. NOS=more power w/problems.

GO stage 4 and get ecutek or utec!
