rattling from my engine at 3-4k rpms

here we go again guys,
now i have had a rattling coming from my engine for a while but i wanna fix that prob before it escalate to something more serious.Somewhere between 3-4k rpms is this my connecting rod bearings? and can i just replace my bearings if that's the case and maybe through some forge pistons in at the same time?don't want to hurt my pocket too much right now .Do you guys have any alternative to this, appreciate any suggestions thanks.

Is it a rattle or a screeching sound? Do you have a aftermarket bpv?

have your hood opened while someone starts your engine and look all around, look at all the heat shields on the manifolds, and check for any loose bolts with washers on them and the bolt might of backed out somewhere.

Have you pushed in your clutch and it goes away? I almost wonder if it couldnt be a throw out bearing for the fact that it happens right away when you start your car, and also mechanical sounds often times bounce around so you dont always know exactly where its comming from.

i am sure its not the throw out bearing because when u come off the clutch and climb the revs slowly up you can hear it and sometimes u don't even hear a thing when u start it up.I was told by my mechanic is the connecting rod bearing but i wanna know for sure.don't wanna pull apart my block for nothing especially in these hard times....recession

Strider327 is on thin ice
Some have had the heatshield and downpipe rattle which in turn was just loose. (It happens) Others might have major problems. Post videos and we can all help you diagnose the problem correctly.

Hey im new hear and I am having that same problem and my mechanic said it was my rod bearings also. Boost 556 I have the same question as you cause I dont have deep pockets. I wanna just change the bearings, rods, and pistons, not the crank.

if it is bearings you may as well replace the crank too...the damaged bearings will f up the crank
