EWG with a stock turbo is not going to make you any power. Why are you doing this mod? You're going to need a low boost actuator which if you ever upgraded would have to go anyway. Again, there's no gains to this mod. Wait till you have a much larger turbo to worry about external gating.

You could use that setup if you were running a 20g

You will get a lot more gains with a larger turbo, but I have seen people go EWG on the stocker and they were happy with the results. If you're set on doing this with the stock turbo, the .5 bar spring will be better suited for you. If you're planning to upgrade to 18g+, get the .9 bar.
