Quick ques. bout Downpipe.

I just got my V3 Helix DP in today from Gruppe-S, only wited a lil over a week! Anyway, it did NOT come with a CEL fix and my Cobb AP won't be in 'til later this month. Can I run it, will it hurt anything or cause lean issues? Thanks guys, scooby1220.

P.S. I am also doin' a up pipe if that makes a difference.

It is not good to run with a CEL, but here is a quick fix.

Just did the work today, I drove like four miles with no CEL fixes and have gotten no CEL's yet. I called Gruppe-S and told them that no CEL fix came with it so thier overnighting it and hopefully it will be in tommorow. I will be doing minimal driving until I get it in, if I get a CEL I have a second car so it won't be a problem. Thanks for the advice, scooby1220.

Did you reset the ECU? If not do it, and it wil take about 100 miles for the ECU to learn your mods. That is how long it for my CEL to show up after the DP install.

When I did the work I disconnected the batt. One of the reasons it was so slow was b/c my buddy thought I tightened the DP to the cat-back and I thought he did and in fact no one did and there was like a 1/2" gap= no backpressure, the car was slower than stock and loud as hell. Tightened it up and it seemed to run a lil better than stock but still has less than 5 miles on it. Should I drive hard during the learning curve? Thanks, scooby1220.

Send a message via AIM to WRXtreme
I ran my full catless system for a few thousand miles with a CEL, no problems here.
