Protune needed after maxed stage 2?

Hey everyone is a protuned needed for a stage 2 wrx including a port/polish on the exhaust manifold and a crossover pipe?

Needed, no. But common knowledge would suggest you get the most from your mods with a protune.

it's gonna cause u to run rich if u dont tune, you will have to change plugs every 2000 ish miles, atleast that's what happened to me when i had my bugeye wrx back in the day

rollin on 17's now and they're dirty

This type of mod doesn't really make it worth the effort to go get a protune since they cost big bucks, only to gain a little power over what you have. I would wait and get more mods to make it worth your money. Just my .02 though.

Yeah but there is solutions like internet tunes that don't cost as much.

This is true, they cost between $45-150, try asking Dom over at DTRacing and see if it is worth it for you do get a internet tune for this mod, but I really don't think it would be.

I disagree. It really smoothed out my powerband and made the car run a hell of a lot nicer. It's not all about peak HP numbers. I did get a good amount of gain on the low end which is great for us EJ20 ppl out there.

I agree that having a tuner that can get you good gains in low rpms is definitely a plus for the 2.0L.
