There are some other options depending on what your goals are. Grimmspeed has great products, but Deadbolt also has a Monster TD04 and Blouch's TD04 19T upgrade. Good Luck.

P.S. As for downsides, if anything you won't be making any more power just better response overall. For example, spool, low end grunt, and smoothness of power when it comes in.

what kind of issues are you expecting it is OEm only PnP. as others have said, faster spool plus low end power. It would be ba good investment if you were looking for a turbo to use for auto X that didnt allow for a upgraded turbo. Other options would be to go with engine managment or protune with bigger turbo upgrade and supporting mods.

I just want something to spool a little quicker and more low end power for the street, but i am looking at getting a vf 34 at the mid or end of summer. And I got stage 2 cobb and i cant really think of anything else to really give me power besides pnp everything and get a bigger turbo? Pretty much my goal right now is to have a car that spools quick and gives me nice power. Then at the end of summer i want like 300whp

1. The VF-34 will not give you low end power, in fact since it will spool later and slower than the TD-04 you'll lose out in the lower rpms, but it does spool rather quickly for a top end turbo.

2. You'll need some engine management (i take it you have or are getting the AP if you "COBB stage 2"). What you'll want to consider is a 3-port bcs to replace the stock 2 port. This combined with a custom protune will enable your turbo to spool a little bit sooner, not to mention hold boost much better.

3. With a good protune, vf-34, injectors, pump, bigger IC, and a 3port bcs I'd say you could hit just about 300whp.

Sorry to tell you this, but you won't make 300WHP with the VF34 without Meth and so forth. With an EVO III 16G its possible or the 18G. But even then, you would need injectors, fuel pump, manual boost controller, EWG setup, 3 Port Boost Solenoid and a really fine tune. For example "HatchKrapper" WRX that thing has exactly 300WHP check it out on youtube. Don't forget you'll have to beef up the tranny along the way, otherwise BOOM. Good Luck. If your just going for a daily driver super fast spool and a little more top end, then I would recommend the Blouch's 19T compressor upgrade PnP. Seems to be the best around close to your needs from what I'm reading.

Yes it is. If your gonna do it, do it right the first time. The whole setup will cost close to $2300 in parts give or take. I have done a lot of research on this myself and would to be at that point soon too. Good Luck.
