Perrin Double-tip

Just ordered the cat-back double-tip from world one, will this require new gaskets or anything similar? Should bolt right on correct?

Should bolt on if it came with the gaskets, which it usually does. In addition, you might want to get the Kartboy hangers to reduce rattle.

Good luck putting on the Kartboy hangers. I could't put them on mine. By the way you are going to love the exhaust. Good choice. I've had mine on for about two weeks.

I also have the perrin dp and cat back. I like it alot, it sounds great. A little loud. My main question to WRXMan or anyone else with this setup is, does yours rattle. I seem to get a vibration somewhere in the exhaust. Minor but annoying. I am using stock hangers. thnx for any input.

I did at first. What it was is that if you are looking at the car from the back the exhaust is getting it's rattle from the left side of the exhaust. If you go underneath the car and shake the exhaust alittle you will notice that it can touch. It touches about a foot or so back from the bolts that connect to the downpipe. I just adjusted mine so it would stay farther to the right. Just pull the exhaust to the right and adjust your hangers. I know this all might sound weird but it worked. It's hard to fit that huge pipe in there Just shake the exhaust back and forth and you will hear the metal that it can touch.

I just finished installing it about two hours ago; it sounds great. You can hear the growl from about 2-3 blocks away. I did adjust the piping so it wouldn't run into anything so that worked out ok. However, i did run into a little problem with the bolts they sent me. The old wouldn't fit anymore and the new ones were too big to fit into the catpipe flange holes so as you can imagine, i made a quick trip to the hardware store. I have a '04 WRX and I doubt those flange holes are bigger in the previous models. Anybody out there with an '04 know what I'm talking about??
