I have just changed the oil at 1000 miles to get all the factory gunk out of it. What is the recomendation on an oil filter? Does anyone know for sure if one is better than another? Give me all the input you can!

The only consensus I've heard is don't use FRAM! A lot of people use OEM and I use Purolators.

Where exactly can I get a purulator at? Anywhere on the internet that I might be able to buy in bulk? Why no fram? Just suck??

Purolators can be found at any local Pep Boys, if you can't find them then just go to your local Subaru dealership and get some OEM ones.

Ask anyone about Fram and they'll tell you that they suck. I've seen a couple of filter tests (of course I can't find the links right now,..) and the FRAMs rated the lowest. I guess at one time they had a good name, but not in a while.
