I just got done installing an FP TD05H 18g 7cm2 Turbo, 680cc Ultimate Racing injectors, 255 Walbro pump, and an SSAutochrome FMIC. Install went fairly easy for everything, no big problems at all.
I got my 'cripple' or 'limp' map from Chris at XXtuning to use as a basemap so that I can drive down to them. I reflashed my ECU before ever trying to start the car. That went fine.
So I start my car, everything sounds good, engine was idling a little higher than normal, but, after 10-15 mins it settled.
On my way home from my brothers garage (1 minute drive, not going above 30mph or 3k RPMS), I started getting a blinking CEL. I threw in my AP to read it, but, by the time I plugged it in, it stopped blinking. Wondering what it was I drove around for a little longer and it came back on, I tried to read the code with the AP but to no avail, it said no codes were found, even though it was blinking still. I have heard this could be knock or misfiring, but, Im not sure. I cant go WOT or anything because the car is not tuned and Im supposed to stay out of boost until I can get to XX. Without being able to go WOT, I cant tell if a cylinder is misfiring.
Im not even sure what I would rather deal with right now, knock or a misfire. I really dont feel like ripping apart my engine again to replacing the plugs or coil packs. I dont know much about knock, I know what it is, but, dont know exactly how harmful it is.
I am going to XX on Tuesday Oct 16th, I am not going to drive my car until its time to go get tuned. If it IS knock, is it safe to make the 50 mile trip with knock occurring? I will be driving as slow and as out of boost as possible.
