Just be careful. This is what happened to a local DSM at the track this Friday...

Is that the only mod you have? If so, you may see a .1 improvement. But I doubt it. With a completely stock car they don't do much.

yeah i really dont have much. well nothing that will lower times. i have denso plugs, HKS blow off, power enterprises belts, the NOS cooler, nothing of much power gain. i tried getting the stuff that would break or help prolong turbo and motor life 1st.

And I checked out that clip of the DSM, man that sucks! But do you think he was using is NOS as a spraybar when that happened?

No haha, well mabye as a supplement. He was running 11s, but that was an easy 10 second car with the right tuning and driver. Not anymore haha more like a 10 minute can to push across the line.

Nitrous backfire? Looks like a fuel line came loose.

Yep Brad from Showdown was the driver

A local shop in town.

When he took off and hit the NOS, the fuel rail blew off, then the fuel became ignited and burned the entire car to the ground

His car's frame is the only thing left and it sits outside their shop.

Matt re-read the initial post...he installed an intercooler cooler (think CryO2 or the NX system) and not a regular NOS kit, so no problems with fire (which NOS isn't flammable, it's an accelerant)

I know I know, I just felt like posting that vid. I heard the spraybars actually hurt performance though, or at least that was REXRonald's results. He was using CryO2 though so I don't know.

Exclamation

Yeah I have an article I think from Turbo magazine in which they tested both NOS and Cry02 systems for intercooler sprayers and the Cry02 did suffer throughout most the powerband, as much as 6HP if I remember correct. They found that the over spray of the carbon dioxide (used in putting out fires, where as NOS accelerates) would in some cases, espically front mount intercooler systems get sucked in the induction system and cause the combustion in the chambers to be sufficated slightly. thus powerloss, but the nos works good, and wicked to see spray
